A week ago, I had to put my kitty to sleep. She was two years old. And she got very sick very quickly. There are no perfect answers as to what was wrong; real life isn't House. I suspect she either had a stroke or a brain tumor or both or neither, but there were no more options. I still have a hard time talking about it. I go through phases of disbelief, sudden realization, and calm acceptance. She was exactly the kitty I wanted. She had enough love in her to last several lifetimes for several cats. And I'm happy she was part of my life.
I love you Pixie. May you rest in peace and chase birds to your heart's content.

I'm sorry to hear about Pixie. I understand what you're going through. A few years ago I had to put my dog Mindy to sleep and I was an absolute mess. I also posted my feelings on my blog and it helped, just to get it out there. Her life may have been short, but I'm sure she was very happy with you as an owner.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Pat. I really appreciate it.
