Twenty Ten

Yes, folks, it's almost the new year. Can you believe it? I certainly can't. But I thought I'd get a short post in while I was thinking about it.

I read Maggie Stiefvater's newest post about Resolutions...and while I have a few general ones for the new year, I was wondering what everyone else had for theirs so far? Are any of you anti-setting goals? Do you set them every year? And print them out? Laminate them? Check them off?

This year, I think I will print mine off...once I come up with them :)

Here's what I have so far:
1. Stop biting my nails
2. Lose some weight (leaving specifics off for now)
3. Finish my current WIP
4. Write and submit more short stories (# unspecified as of yet)

4 comments:

  1. 1. Run a marathon. (Or a half. Either way works.)
    2. Send Ivory out into the world of rejections and the ever elusive contract.
    3. Complete the 1st and 2nd draft of EIM. Or AF. Whichever one I start, I have to finish all the way.
    4. Maintain a 2.5 GPA. A 3.0 would be fabulous.
    5. Learn to let things go a wee bit better than I do now.

Now you've got me making a list...

My husband managed to stop biting his nails by obsessively cleaning them whenever he'd go to bite them. Not sure how long it took, I just noticed one day that his nails were actually growing and non-chomped on. Good luck!

  2. Those are awesome goals! Hmmm, I might need to add to mine sometime soon :)

  3. I like dreams, rather than goals. When I set goals, I get less done. When I dream, I use goals (which I haven't set) to get me there.

  4. I only have one and it's easy as pie. I'm going to marry George Clooney and I know you are thinking well now she is just silly and what about Daniel won't he have something to say about that. To that I say he would want me to be happy.
    Warmest regards,
    Simone.
